So what does any one think or know of the "lightray"

The connect also has mobile hotspot built in but it's been disabled by firmware updates since zv9.

You have to pay for tethering or find a third party workaround.

And it's "lightray".

At that price / specs combo it's not worth the time even considering.

In a few days more models will arrive in the $100-something range, with comparable, if not better specs.

and just to add....even with expected subsequent rebate offer, the Lightray still wouldn't be worth considering...

at a minimum it'd have to be price slash to $399 AND a $200 rebate-- which ain't happening-- leaving it still too high vis a vis other upcoming models.

If they had released it a year ago like they were supposed too it would have been a great phone, even at that price.

As it is now, you are paying for a portable TV tuner. Otherwise the Esteem and Connect are much better, each for their own reasons.

bad pricepoint and poor timing.

i'd be surprised if more than 10 people bought this phone.
