So what if ClearWire defaults

Where does that leave us with 4g enabled devices...free phones when the LTE phones come out, early out on our existing contracts, or nothing?

Erik Prusch, Clearwire CEO, Reportedly Mulls Default

Short term, nothing happens. Default is always a negotiating move first. Doors wont close the next day.

Clear can buy itself another couple of years by restructuring debt and renegotiating terms with their debt holders and partners (Sprint). While doing that they will look for buyers.

Clear wont die till 2013 or 2014, and by then Sprint will be on LTE, so who cares at that point.
