I was curious to see what phone everyone was going to move to after the droidx "dies".

You can take the question however you want it. Be it a phone that you just want to have or a phone you believe would have a strong mod/development community.

I haven't been keeping up with the times so im not too sure where id like to go after this. I've heard that samsung may release an LTE version of the nexus s and it sounds interesting and all, but the 4g plans make me not want. :/

What are your thoughts or suggestions??

But do we really want to buy from MOTO after they shafted us all with the DX and D2 and D Pro?
That's just the price we have to pay for having the best phone on the market, not to mention that it'll remain competitive well into 2011. :D

This is probably my last moto product, unless something amazing comes out. If I stick with Android, I will probably head over to HTC or Samsung/LG. I don't have much experience with the latter, but I think HTC's firmware/software is much better out of the box.

If Apple can get their stuff together, get on verizon and offer more features, I would consider switching back. But as of now, I don't think they compare to Android in terms of the functionality that I need personally. I love Google Nav, and being able to switch out my batteries.

I am really enjoying the battery life on my Dx though, but that is with the extended battery. It has great idle time.

Supposedly the iPhone is gonna be on VZW in Q1 possibly even this month. But I doubt that last bit.. lol

If I was able to have an iPhone with Android, my life would be complete. lol

Only think I every liked about Apple was their styling.(I like shiny things... lol)

Apple is a locked down OS (worse than locked bootloader) and you can't change batteries. WTF? Not to mention antennagate. I just don't see an iPhone in my future not after having seen what Android and the DX can offer.

Yes. I totally agree with this. This will be my last Motorola product. Unless the locked bootloader becomes a huge trend then I might stick with Motorola.

In all honesty this was my first android phone because I had to wait for my upgrade and I love being able to test out different rims and how big of a difference they make to your personal experience with your phone. Because of that id like to stick to phones that support the developer community.

The droidx is still a great phone though. I just wish I could do more things to it.
