So i got a MetroPCS GS3, its got a bad ESN though, i know theres gotta be someone on here who knows someone that knows someone that can clean the ESN for me, feel free to PM me..
last time i checked, it was still not possible to get it working on any other US GSM carrier... or help me try to find an use for this phone before i sell it for parts on eBay
Sank you.

only way is illegal to be discussed here other than that theres no possible way to clean no esn since the esn is like a social security number for each cell phone and when its black listed the list is shared between cell phone carrier companies and are not allowed to allow such devices to be activated in any network in america. That new law was passed in order to prevent that. think about it people get a $700 phone on contract for $200 they dont pay the next month so it gets black listed but they dont care since gsm phones are being sold to canada and other parts of the world where they dont honor the black list. so yea your best bets are sell them as parts or sell/ship it over seas.

sorry but gonna have to lock the thread down. we can't endorse on how to clear a bad esn. the only way around it is to clear it with your carrier. anything that deals with a breach of contract, which is why you have a bad esn, will not be discussed here.....hopefully you can clear it with metro.

edit: not to mention that clearing an esn is illegal to begin with.

edit#2:
not to mention that metro is a prepaid carrier and they can hold the esn for up to 90 days, just in case you can't make a payment until later. so it is really hard to switch like that.

plus just to clarify metro is cdma and not gsm.
