So who will be buying?

Not I... maybe. I really really hate carrier branding so having AT&T on top of the phone is really off putting to me. I currently have a Arc S which I love so if I do end up buying this, I'll get the unlocked, unbranded Xperia S instead. I really do hope it does release in March, it's annoying to see these carriers show off these phones at CES and then hold off releasing them for the next six months till sometime in the Summer.

This is the only phone on the horizon that interests me. However it does not have a removable battery so that has given me pause. The Sony skin seems minimal which I like.

Even after reading about the one xl I'm still considering this phone. Does anyone actually know when it will come to at&t?

It may take until June or so, I have heard. I can wait, my current phone still works great, and we are celebrating our one year anniversary. But I keep dreaming about the Ion. The camera promises to be sweet, maybe even the best camera ever seen on a phone. I know there are Japanese phones that have 12 mps, but Sony knows how to make a good camera. And I am hoping that since it is Sony, the speaker also will be excellent. We shall see if those two things live up to my expectations.

Been thinking of getting the Ion AT&T 4G LTE model (3G is becoming quite congested). With the announcement of the water resistant Acro S though, I think I may go with the latter.

If it matters, the Xperia ION has microSD card slot. Personally think the Xperia S looks much, much nicer, though. I think ICS should be rolling out soon (if it's not already being rolled out) to the Xperia S. The AT&T ION will probably get the update pretty late (if it will even get it). AT&T (as with most US carriers) is pretty bad when it comes to rolling out Android updates.

If you're talking about the international HSPA version, I'd go for the Xperia ION (for the microSD slot).

Debating between this and the GSIII

x2.
I dont know what to do.

I've had Sonys phones for almost 10 years now. I have the X10 now but sony f'd by not giving it updates.

Im rooted and put GB on it, but thats as far as im going with the Rom stuff. It confuses me. haha. But its so slow and laggy now. I hate it

So I dont know what to do. My next andriod I dont plan on messing with so I want something where ATT will keep it up to date simple.

Hey
i recentley purchased the Ion and whenever i try and watch videos on youtube,it takes forever to watch them, its as if i was watching them on my comp ,which is extremely slow, what could be causing this and how could i make it so i could watcht he whole video and not just parts at a time loll? Thx for the advice ahead

My YouTube works fine. Sorry. But I thought I'd tell you that Sony parted ways with Ericsson. The phone is just called Sony Xperia Ion.

I haven't had problems with YouTube on mine, either. This might be a bit late, but some versions of the YouTube app from the Play Store can be buggy, as can those for Facebook. If that's the case after an update, the browser might be worth a try.

Incidentally, my Ion had a Sony Ericsson branded charger. Also, when I look at photo details through the standard gallery app, that says it was taken with a Sony Ericsson. The old name still lingers a bit...
