So who's been going naked?

So now the One X has been out a while I'm sure many of you haven't bothered with screen protection.
I would be interested to know how your screen has stood the test of time regarding scratches.
I didn't bother with protecting my Desire and after almost 2 years it was in pretty good shape. Just the odd small light scratch here and there that were only noticeable with the screen off.
The One X should fare even better given the better glass.
So who's been going naked and how's your screen doing?
 
I do relatively hard work daily and for the first month had my phone completely naked (without even a simple case).That scared me a bit so I went for the Otterbox Commuter and it's perfect.

I did NOT put the screen protector on though. I always face the screen to my leg when it's in my pocket and I be careful not to put anything else in that pocket while its there. Not a single scratch or ding or anything so far. I've had it ~2 months or so.
 
I've never used a screen protector on any of my phones and this is my 4th Android phone (all the other phones before that were rubbish). Never had a scratch on any of my screens, on my last phone (Sensation) I did manage to somehow get a smudge on that screen but wasn't noticeable unless the screen was off.

Had my HOX since it was released and have no scratches whatsoever, my mum has the same phone and has a light scratch on it, although she puts hers in her handbag so more likely to get scratched.

Mine does go in my pocket with my keys but I'm careful not to have the keys on top of the screen though.
 
i had no screen protector on my desire for the whole 2 years as well and it didnt fair up too badly,

Im pretty careful with all my phones they dont go in pockets with anything else most of the time.

First few weeks i didnt have a screen protector and everything was fine, but i got nervous and put one on anyways and was quite pleased cause the protector got a few scratches after that,

When i sent my phone off they took of the protector and since i got it back ive been going naked,
was abit pissed on friday when i put it in my bag on the bikeride to work and it got its first 2 tiny (but noticeable to me!) scratches :mad::mad:

totally my own fault but i now have the protector back on! :D
 
I've had my AT&T One X since launch and haven't bothered to put a screen protector on it mostly because most of them don't even cover the whole screen, and my screen is still scratch less. But I'm also pretty careful with my phone so I don't keep it near sand or my keys.
 
I have no protection at all but I must admit I'm terrified. I can be a bit clumsy & the HOX is quite slippery.
I'm in the UK and have looked at loads of cases & skins but don't know what to get, on a budget. Can any one offer a nice suggestion, I like the look of the flip leather ones that hold credit cards. Those plastic holders inside, do they chew into the phones body? I don't wanna devalue this item.

Nothing to protect it and the screen is fine so is the body... I toss it in my back pocket when walking around. Center console in the car and sits on my desk when Im not running around the office. It seems to be fairing well but I do get that "creaky" screen going on now. I would say (Like some of the others) that it can be a bit slippery and a case my help that but I think I'm trading mine in next week so I'm not going to bother.
 
My first 1x had a very light scratch on it, so when they sent me a new phone due to GPS issues, I decided that I was going to use a skin body and screen protector.
 
Do like to keep my phones in a case, but prefer some sort of case which protects the screen as well so I don’t have to mess about with screen protectors. Mine is 2 months old. Was immaculate until last weekend. Had it in a cheap plain white TPU case as a stop gap, but wasn’t keen on it as I felt spoilt the distinctive looks. Ordered the official white leather flip case – which came last Friday. Looked really nice.
On Saturday, I had left it on the arm of the sofa, and our new puppy managed to get hold of it when I was out of the room. Came back in to him chewing on it! The flip case now has bite marks on the front, and there are a couple of smaller scratches on the screen. Gutted – only lasted one day.
I am impressed as to how well it stood up to this punishment. Lucky to only get away with a couple of scratches.
 
I beat the crap out of my blackberry bold, the phone I had before this one, so I made sure to get a screen protector and case for my One x. I got the platinum case and the Invisible Shield screen protector at Best Buy. The platinum case is really good except for the power button cover, kind of hard to press when using one hand and when it's in the holster.

I don't like the orange peel texture of the invisible shield at all, and I've also had two so far. (The first one was installed by the best buy tech and it actually failed. So bad in fact that I was forced to look for other options locally and found nothing, so I got another Invisible Shield, installed it myself.. honestly, it looks and fits much better than the hack job installation they did!)

I don't like the Invisible Shield at all either way though; way too much glare, texture sucks and finger movement is slowed compared to bare screen, it is kind of thick for a screen protector so accumulates too much dirt around the edges, (although doing a decent job keeping the dirt out from under itself,) It DOES scratch relatively easy, it does cost too much for what it is, and Best Buy is trying to tell everyone it's the best.

The only thing I dislike about my skin is the edges gets dirty and the skin itself gets a yellowish or orange tint. Thinking about taking the skin off but leaving the screen protector on.
 
Ordered a cover, sock and screen protector off ebay for my One X but got sent the One S stuff instead which doesn't fit. I use the sock when the phone is in my pocket but naked most of the time and hasn't got a mark on it.

I'm taking off the rear & side skin and just like you ill be using a sunglass micro bag to store my phone in while its in my pocket.
 
I haven't got a protector since i got the HOX but it's only been a week.

I have ordered a Capdase Klia for it and it should reach by Monday. Hopefully, it should be free from all those colorful glares.

Although, i must admit touching the naked glass is an amazing feeling and i am gonna miss it after i get the protector on.

Hell, all protectors are like this ;-)
 
I got the protector today itself and applied it immediately.

The quality of awesome, there is no hint of false color shade from any angle.

Although, the feel is not same as touching the glass, which is obvious.

Otherwise the finish is excellent. There are no odd edges and the cut is perfect.

Film is about 1.5mm less from glass corners which is required as the glass is rounded off at corners. That is why it sticks perfectly and there is no chance of peeling it off when swapping from outside towards inside.

Overall Highly Recommended.
