Help So who's got the new market update?

I FINALLY did! I've been waiting and waiting for it to come..then decided to "checkin" looking for Gbread...it said "Check in Success" and I got all excited even though I don't expect it to be Gbread...it then appeared to do nothing. That is until I checked the market for app updates like I always do...the loading icon was different...it opens up and BOOM new market.

So if you're an update junky like me and haven't got the new market...try dialing *#*#checkin#*#* you just might get it!;)
 
I've got the new market update/upgrade. Interesting UI, and cool; but right now I have "bill to my T-Mobile acct" selected, and it's not letting me purchase anything. No, my T-mobile account isn't in arrears.

So right now the new Market is worthless to me; and no I'm not giving Google my CC info.

I just did that and also received "Checkin Succeeded". What exactly does that mean because I'm rooted. I still don't have the new market because everything looks the same. Thanks for the tips tho! :)
 
Seems to me that from what I've been hearing, individual users will get some sort of 'prompt' to upgrade to GB. I'm not sure but I don't think the prompt was through the Market App. I could be mistaken, though.
 
No GB upgrade/download prompt yet, though.
It's not going to work for the Gingerbread update. I should have clarified that in the OP, I knew it wasn't going to check for the GB update...I was just checking to see if ANY updates were coming through.

But check your market...it should be the new version now...if it wasn't already.
 
Something odd is happening today...

Last night, I did the checkin (#*#*2432546*#*#) on my wife's phone and got the Market update shortly afterward. Today, I tried to do the same on my phone and I keep getting the following message...

"Connection problem or invalid MMI code."

Everything else seems to work fine on the phone (including other MMI codes like #225#, #646#, etc.). Both phones are unrooted.

Is anyone else seeing this error?

I just tried it (correctly) and the checkin worked. No Market update yet but I'll probably see it shortly...
