Root Soft Bricked My Phone - Opinions?

So I got a little daring with my phone today and long story short I'm bootlooping. I'm at work (:() so I can't restore until I get home. That being the case I would like to use my free time here in the last hours of my shift to decide what I want to do. Perhaps you guys can be of assistance!

I know I am going to have to go back to stock, and I know how to do that, and then re-install TheoryRom 2.0. However this seems like an opportunity to get the new OTA Radio + Kernel before flashing again. Do you guys think it's worth the extra work?

Also, I read the guide in here (how to take the OTA and retain root) but to be honest it went a little over my head. I am used to using RDSLite or 1 click root methods and I am very familiar with clockwork. However I don't really understand the instructions in the guide posted here. So maybe I answered my own question? :p

If you need to do a fastboot restore anyway, I think it is worth the extra work. It really is not that difficult if you follow the instructions dfib posted:
http://androidforums.com/bionic-all-things-root/434407-how-flash-893-update-maintain-root.html

Just take your time, .893 helped my 3G and bluetooth immensely!

The instructions are pretty simple. Just make sure to follow each step properly. Unfortunately for me my phone doesn't like the Forever Root and keeps bootlooping which doesn't allow me to install the OTA with root.

Well I took the OTA and Forever rooted and now I'm back on Theory 2.0. Thanks for the input guys :)
