Root Soft Ket issues

So I have been having problems with my soft keys (Home, search, etc.) and if I press it it will react as if I'm pressing the bottom of the actual screen and press something there. It's very frustrating because I can't navigate anywhere and I have to restart my phone every time I want to go somewhere else. Any suggestions?
 
Nah, I haven't yet but I was about to unroot it so I can exchange it at Verizon.. I'm running CM7 and it happened while I was on the ROM so I'm not sure if it's a software problem
 
Okay then it would be hardware related without a doubt. I believe you can unroot and use a warranty replacement
