Soft key lights

Hi there

I've noticed on my Orange S3 that the soft keys aren't fully lit. The inside half of each (closest to the home button) is bright but the outside half is quite dim. Only a small point I know, but it is quite irritating.

Had anyone else had this problem, and if so have you got round it yet?

I turn mine off altogether - I know where the keys are so the lights draw unnecessary power.

Not sure if this is something you'd consider!

Sorry 'going', not 'getting'. (Swype.)

Obviously it's your decision and I'm not trying to be a jackass, but I would seriously consider not sending it back for such a small issue.

You surely know where the buttons are, so the LED lights are only useful if you're using the phone in the dark, which is probably not very often :p

If you exchange it you risk getting one with more severe problems.

I would say if you are paying for a device I would take it back for whatever reasons/defaults there are. Maybe his would go out all together, if I'm paying for something then I want it to be how I like it.

I'm wondering how well the lighted (lit?) buttons show up on the white phone - are they bright enough against the background?

<SIGH> I really wish I could see one in real life for myself - I'm on the verge of changing my Vz pre-order from blue to white, but waffling like crazy!

I checked my buttons and I think it's similar - a little brighter toward the inside than the outside. I think that's just where the light source is. But doesn't bother me that much - I like how they disappear when not in use. Anyway, while I do agree that you should return anything that you're not happy with, I also consider that if that is the only issue that is bothering me - that I probably wouldn't bring it back for fear that I would get a phone with other more damning issues. Murphy's law! BUT, you should be be happy first and foremost.
