Help Soft Keys won't light up?

So I heard the button at the bottom of the phone (Home/Menu/Back/Search) Only light up in dim lighting? They don't though. They never light up. Around January, these actually lit up all the time. Is there an app or a way to get these to light up all the time?

It's controlled by the light sensor - they onlylight up when it's very very very dark.

It's controlled by the light sensor - they only light up when it's very very very dark.

Test it by covering the light sensor at the top right-hand-side of the screen. They take a second or two to react.
