Root (Soft)Reboots out the wazu

Alright so I have a D2G that likes to reboot ever since it went to 2.3 . It's been sbf'ed and all. Is it Software if it only soft reboots? Meaning it goes to the boot animation instead of totally reseting. Would I benifit from MIUI or CM7? Is it the Gingerbread kernel? Would over/underclocking my phone fix it. Curious for answers. Thanks

You might need to sbf to wipe data/cache after sbfing. And yes custom roms like the ones that these fine devs have made are always a plus. You would benefit.

It has been a few days but if you are still having a problem with the texting app, this procedure seems to help others with the same problem.
settings > applications > manage apps > all > multi-touch keyboard > force stop > clear data.
