Help Software update - Set up software update Icon / notification

Hi

I have an icon that I cannot for the life of me get rid of, it's two arrows pointing in opposite directions an din the notifications area is says

Software update
Set up software update

When I press the notification it just sends me to the home screen.

Tries OTA update and Kies but no update available

Any help appreciated.

Try going into Settings>About Device>Software Update

Usually the first time you need to manually choose the country of origin.

Yes thanks, and have reset the phone to factory settings.

Problem solved, it just disappeared overnight

If i am not mistaken it can also mean synchronising. Did you have a lot of data on the phone or from your accounts (google or samsung) that needed synchronising?
