Help Solution to 2.3.4 "download failed"

If you, like me, are one of the people unable to download the newest software update because of a download failure, I found a solution that worked for me without doing a factory reset.

Go to this link and follow the directions. I know this is for market failures, but it worked.

It's clear cache on the Market and the Download Manager.

I would like to add that this has proven to also be a problem if the user has their device configured to install apps directly to the SD card and the SD card is either not installed or corrupted.

Technically, this would work on a rooted phone as it is just making it so you can download the OTA. However, if you are rooted and apply this update, it will either unroot you or cause major problems. I suggest staying away from OTA's all together when rooted.
