[Solution / Tutorial for Galaxy S i9000] MTP Application crashing

I was using ADWLauncher... Spent hours on this before realizing...remove any third party launcher!!!

With unmounting and mounting back my INTERNAL card, I managed to update my firmware from 2.1 to Froyo (2.2).
But then I had to disconnect and re-connect my usb cable in order to update again to the LATEST firmware (2.3 i think). Wich led again to the MTP error problem and this time THERE IS NO OPTION OF UNMOUNTING THE INTERNAL CARD.
So, how do i overcome this?
And, since I can't connect to Kies I can't synchronize my contacts that I have in Outlook. Any other way for that?

i just bouhgt the galaxy s2 and it has some apps that i would like to take out. is there away to take them out? i think they where factory installed. they are Islamic propogandas.

Should point out it's more than 16 chars after the last dot. I.e. an extension like "bla.12345678910111213".

But yeah, I found this fix elsewhere, but I can vouch for it . My MTP app was doing that when trying to connect to Kies. I trawled through the files and deleted all the ones that had stupid extensions. Cleared the caches etc too. And now it works with kies again, and i was able to flash to the new firmware. Which i might add has made a noticeable improvement to lag i think
