Our phone doesn't support cm7, there's a cm9, but it's still in beta. If you go into the all things root subforum, the first thread has links to how to install cwm and other roms available for our phone.

Well I tried to install the clock work recovery to get it out of the way, but I hit a brick wall towards the end of the process, it says to launch the command prompt from the originating file. But when I type "adb shell", it says it cannot be found or doesn't exist, I have adb installed, any ideas??

Where did you get your instructions on how to flash cwm? If you go to the link in the first thread, you just simply need to put it in your internal sd, go to the stock recovery and update from sd.

Well most websites regarding putting cwm on the exhibit had this process. Idk maybe its a different thing. But so if I update, all it does is it makes my recovery mode cwm? And my current stock rom will have nothing deleted off of it?

It worked, I now have cwm recovery on my phone. I have one last question, can I use rom manager now considering my phone is flashed with their stuff?

Yea I already checked that out, bummer. But so im gonna try out the cm9 beta and ive already made a back up. So the options I hit before I hit "install from the sd card" is "wipe cache partition" and "factory reset" right? And then reboot?

Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache. Flash the rom, then reboot.

So now that i have cm9 beta installed, one last thing: would you mind telling me the process of switching between roms? Is it just backup-wipe delvic and regular cache-factory reset, and then install rom from sd card?

If you want a phone with 2.2 why didn't you buy a phone with 2.2? The only thing I can recommend is trying Rom Toolbox pro. I changed my signal from white to green using that app. I am pretty sure it had the option to change the status bar to white also.

I didnt begin to like the look of classic android until recently. But yea I think I tried rom toolbox, I went to themes and of course tried Retro Droid. But of course only cyanogenmod 7 seems to support this. I tried metamorph but so I can hold back any profanity, ill just say that I clicked one button to add a theme and it fried my rom.
