Ok, so here is the problem. I unlocked my bootloader and let my phone reset. I powered off my phone and went back into the recovery screen and it says unlocked. From there I went back into fastboot and I used the command "Fastboot flash twrp.img" fast boot ran successfully, but on my phone it nvr flashed or booted into twrp. It didn't ask to install supersu. Now when I go back into the recovery it says tampered and unlocked. I'm at a loss at to what to do now. I don't want to try and flash the recovery again out of fear of bricking it. This is my first root and I would appreciate any help anyone could give me.
