(SOLVED) Is Android 2.3.6 processor management good enough by itself?

Hello everyone,

When I bought my Galaxy Mini S5570 it came with Android 2.2.

I used AnTuTu CPU Master (Free) to keep the processor ON-DEMAND.

So its speed would vary from 245 MHz to 600 MHz, which saves a lot of battery.

Now, the phone was update to version 2.3.6 via Samsung Kies.

I lost the root (but rooted it again) and now I wonder if it's worth keeping CPU Master installed, or if this new firmware does the job of keeping the processor ON-DEMAND by itself, as I've heard somewhere.

Thanks!

My DHD does that with the CPU out of the box. With this tool you can actually see it happening.

Awesome!

I've just uninstalled CPU Master and rebooted the phone and by watching the app you recommended I discovered that Android 2.3.6 actually does the job by itself and in a much better way.

Thanks for the app recommendation.

Android keeps surprising me.. = )
