Help SOLVED: - JB screen timeout animation (fade)

Can anyone tell me how to improve or turn off the fade effect when waking the phone. You can pick up the phone after not touching it and hit the power button, the lock screen instantly shows but there is a slow choppy fade in the whatever brightness your set at. Also if you let the screen sleep it will use the fade transition I'm referring to, to dim the screen just before timeout.

I'd like to disable or improve it, as it is very choppy and slow. I looked in settings and on here before posting but found nothing.

I hope I explained it well enough, if not let me know and I can get a video after work.

P.S. : I have not factory resetted the phone since the official JB update yesterday. I started fresh 4 days ago with this replacement MAXX so I didn't see the need.

Thanks.

SOLVED :
Settings>Developer Options>Window Animation Scale>Animation off

I noticed that too, I chose to ignore it. It only happens on the lock screen for me, as soon as I swipe the lock the screen goes to normal brightness. Since there is nothing on my lock screen for me to do or look at, it didn't really affect me or how the phone works.

Yes, this is making me crazy! When I want to look at my lock screen I don't want to wait for it to "fade in", it's just annoying! I often check my lock screen for the time or when I walk away from my phone for a while.

Hope someone finds the key.

See if that works for you all. If so thanks to XtremeAaron for pointing us in the right direction.

Yup that did it! Thank you for figuring it out. I used to be heavily invested in android and knew the options were there, just didn't have time to test. Thanks!
