Help [SOLVED]Link2sd not working, Write protect help.

Cool. Make sure you select install Image in TWRP or you will not be able to see it. If you need help with a custom ROM let me know.

Also: Make a backup of everything in TWRP it may save your bacon someday.

Also make sure you are searching the correct storage.

Okay. I found the image file, flashed it. I started link2sd, and now after selecting ex2 for my secondary storage, there are no following errors when I reopen link2sd. I am getting somewhere! It still says insufficient storage when I try to download an app.

Before it would work, but with the android.media errors. Now no errors but will not install to sd card. I am guessing it is the settings in link2sd, which are all checked. I will tinker with it. Thanks for the help. :)

With a root enabled file explorer, go to /data. Look for a folder named sdext2. This is the directory that Link2SD creates. If it's not there than we can start over. I would recommend Solid Explorer.

Okay I used solid explorer and that folder does not exist on the sd/data folder.

I used minitool partition wizard to partition it the first time. Worked easy with it. But since there is already a partition, not sure what to do as far as format or delete first, then redo. Also I hope I can get this sd card out of my phone now lol. Might have to try tweesers.

Go to link2sd and recreate mount script and reboot. Look for folder then.
I use mini-tool as well and don't have problems. I'm pretty sure I formatted second partition as Ext4. Also be sure both partitions are listed as Primary.

Woohoo! it is now downloading a 600meg game that I tried for test purposes. You are the best man. Much appreciated!

*edit* ok some apps are now saying unsufficient again lol.. Maybe re partition?

Well my sd card is 16 gigs, the 2nd parition is about 2.5gb per what I read everyone doing. Both partitions are almost empty though. Start over as in go ahead an re-partition my sd card? If so, what do I do in the wizard, as far as delting/formatting? Thanks!

Seems to be working ok as long as my internal storage is not maxed out. I just deleted a few things from internal, then it installs to sd.Thanks again. :)

I forgot to ask if you had busy box and SuperSU installed. If you have anymore trouble.....sorry i had to step away. Don't know where you read to delete a file, but I've never heard of it.

I couldn't even find that file so I didn't bother further looking into it. SuperSU has been installed when I rooted, and the update for it worked today. Busybox, I have not tried to run that again. Is it something I should get or is it optional?

Busybox is for more than TWRP. It contains the scripts that most root apps need to function. Just Download Stericson Busybox from the Playstore. Open the app and install it. SuperSU will probably need to update binaries.

Yes. I still have to download it been busy today. But so far it seems everything is working okay, except for the occasional google play error, in which I will find a reputable website to get the app from and it will download and install just fine. :) Thanks a ton for all you have done to help me.
