Root [SOLVED] Looking for stock recovery

Anyone know if/where I can get the stock recovery image? I'd prefer not to run the entire stock RUU, I just want to go back to the original recovery. I tried one from the Sprint Evo 3D, found over on XDA, but no luck.

Thanks!

This was asked before

And i don't think anyone has pulled the recovery from the RUU but if you want to pull it yourself you'll need to

- Download the RUU from here:

RUU_Shooter_ICS_35_S_Sprint_WWE_VM_1.13.652.2_Radio_1.06.00.0426_NV_1.53_144_release_262287_signed.exe - 418.40 MB

- the OTA might have the recovery too (Not sure about it though)

then

1. Run the RUU.exe, don't connect the phone, it isn't necessary

2. Tick the box "I understand ..." and click Next

3. Tick the box "I have completed ..." and click Next

4. It'll run ... expanding the files in a behind-the-scenes process

5. You should get Error [170]: Ignore it, it's not important. (Don't click Exit)

6. Now move the RUU Application to the side so you can see the desktop

7. Open Explorer in Windows and type %temp% in the navigation bar

8. There will be folders with long encrypted names

9. Find the newest one and the Rom.zip should be inside

10. When you find the Rom.zip file move it out of the folder onto the desktop

11. Open it with 7zip and extract recovery.img or recovery_signed.img (Not Sure which)

12. Put your phone into Fastboot mode and connect it to your computer

13. Now you can flash it Open a command prompt in Windows and navigate to the folder where you installed Android SDK tools. Flash the stock recovery using the following command:

Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

or

Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed.img

If you don't have the fastboot files on your PC you can download them here: fastboot.zip

Thank you Mobster, I was able to extract recovery_signed.img from the stock RUU. I'm attaching it here for future use. And sorry I missed that older thread on the same topic!

OverByter, I'm trying to install the HTC update, which will only run in its unmodified form on the stock recovery. I'm on the stock ROM, unlocked and rooted, CWM recovery. I have re-locked and restored the original recovery, but the update still doesn't work. The phone reboots, goes into recovery, the progress bar starts, then it stops and shows a picture of the phone with a red exclamation mark in a triangle.

I was really hoping to do this without wiping my phone, but it's looking like that's what is going to have to happen.

Download stock recovery: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ra6y6aecju8uwb4/recovery_signed.img

Appreciate the upload, good to have on the sd card for future reference , good luck with the update.
