Help [SOLVED]Orange state bootloop

Nidheesh

Lurker
I entered fastboot in my gionee F205 through ADB and entered the command 'fastboot continue' which I got a error FAILED (remote: not support on security).
So I tried to unlock OEM and did the same through fastboot. Now when I reboot my device it is stuck in a bootloop with a message 'orange state your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted your device will boot in 5 seconds'. Please help

did you do anything else? just "fastboot continue" and "fastboot oem unlock"? what are you trying to do?

No, nothing else...as I got this error I thought it might be due the bootloader not unlocked(but I have enabled OEM unlocking in developer option, are both of it the same), so I unlocked it in fastboot with 'fastboot OEM unlock'. I don't know if the first error is related to the boot loop.
Now it is stuck there in a boot loop. And I have no idea what to do...I don't know if I can flash the stock recovery and boot and other stock rom files without being rooted to solve the boot loop

i would try and flash a stock fimrware. you do not need to be rooted to do this. not sure, but i googled your phone and found a bunch of sites that offer the firmware. i am just not sure how legit they are. your phone is an off brand phone and it does not seem to be supported much from the manufacturer.

any of these should work......but like i said not sure if any of these links are legit or not:

there is another link from there that has the tutorial that will help you out:

Tried almost everything...installed many vcom drivers, my PC detects the phone but sp tools is not flashing to my phone in download mode. Each time a different error pops up in a cycle.
My phone is automatically rebooting again before sp flash can start flashing.
The error is ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL(0xC006001

i found this:
Error 0xC0060001

Message: BROM ERROR: S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (0xC0060001)

Meaning: The device attempted to power on before SP flash tool could flash files to it

Solution:
  • The device might require a custom Download Agent (DA) to be flashed
  • Ensure the battery is well charged
  • Take out and reinsert the battery
  • Try using a different USB cord, port and PC
  • Right-click flash_tool.exe > Select Properties > Select Compatibility > Set to Windows XP Service Pack 3 > Click Apply > Click OK > Run SP flash tool as Administrator
  • Try a different USB cord
  • Try a different port on the PC or another PC
  • Ensure the battery is well changed and inside the switched off phone before connecting to PC for flashing
  • Do not hold any button when connecting to PC

I solved the issue. The stock firmware file I got didn't have a checksum file. So I generated one with checksum generator.
My PC also had so many VCOM drivers installed. I uninstalled all off them since I saw that my VCOM preloader driver switched to MTK USB Driver as it was available and the preloader was the driver starting the flash. So I installed Preloader only and put SP Flash tool in download mode at the right time when the phone would power on again and preloader driver gets identified(you can see that in Devices and printers) I plugged the USB in. Voila! It worked!

Edit : I had an issue with the download agent too. So I downloaded a custom download agent for my phone from forum.hovatek. Maybe that was the real issue.

Thanks

just curious why were you trying to oem unlock in the beginning? were you trying to root the phone?

I wanted to install TWRP and install a custom rom as none of the oneclick root apps worked for me.

Well, the issue now is that I can't find a single rom for my gionee f205(nougat) but only for the gionee f205 pro which Oreo and also treble enabled. Now I have to port my stock rom to F205 pro stock rom. To do that I have to both port my 64bit mediatek chipset rom to another and also port from non-treble to treble for which I can't find any guides. I am almost stuck.
I tried formatting my device with format except bootloader in sp tools to flash the f205 pro flash rom but formatting gives me a "Error : STATUS_SEC_WRITE_DATA_NOT_ALLOWED(0XC002000C) ". Stuck there too!
