Some apps disable my mobile data connection?

Hi,

I have this problem: Every time a start some apps, my mobile data connection get's disabled. I have this problem with the Foursquare app and with the native Wifi-hotspot app.
It just doesn't make sense. I'm on mobile data, i start up the wifi-hotspot app, and i see my 3G item in the statusbar dissapear...
I have a HTC Legend v2.2
Any idea what causes this problem?

Are you saying that your 3G service is disabled when you launch these apps or are you saying that the icon just disappears? You might want to check with the other Legend users in HTC Legend - Android Forums

my 3G service disables when i start the app, hence the 3g icon in my statusbar dissapears. If i check my settings it is unchecked.
