So ChaCha said that FroYo is out for the LG Ally, its not! The update will be rolling out from Verizon servers not the LG Update tool.

Well according to this topic (below) LG is competing with Samsung and thats the only reason we are getting FroYo, but they also "hinted" Gingerbread (Android 3.0) for the Ally.

The first post says you can update it online with the update tool, FroYo is not even out yet so thats a fail. The second ChaCha question is asked about LG Ally and they provided an answer for an HTC phone which was just epic fail.
