An update to Google Messenger was recently pushed out to devices via the Play Store. It came with a number of features automatically, but some are seeing RCS features labeled as 'enhanced features'. However, it seems to be a server-side update so not everyone sees them.
A user has commented that RCS will not make it to AT&T if you have a Nexus or Pixel device because a representative is telling them that RCS features require the carrier's HD Voice feature to be enabled (which is not possible on a Nexus/Pixel phone).
