Help some one pls help

i am having issues with my xperia x10i. after my last update, i have not been able to download any application to my fone from android market.
any one with assistance should please come to my aid

Go to settings > Applications > Market and then uninstall updates. Usually works for me.

Are you able to connect to the net? is the symbol appearing up the top?
When I updated to 2.1 it removed my internet connection settings and I had to set them up again.
