Help Some question regarding flashing ROM

Hello all.. From several days, I've a doubt in my mind, that can I flash another device's ROM in my device like we can do in computer, a common OS for all Windows computer. If not all devices can I flash a ROM of similar android device in my Device.
Please do answer this question, else I'll have more sleepless nights further.

No, a ROM has to be built for the specific device. Not any device or even a similar device, but the specific model.

And if your phone is one of those with different versions of the "same" phone (e.g. GSM or CDMA versions, or different chipsets like Samsung sometimes do) you need to check compatibility with the specific version you have.
