Help Some questions coming from a Incredible 2

Jasp

Newbie
Hi guys, forgive me if this has been asked before but I have yet to find the answer. I bought 2 of the s3's prior to my husband and I losing unlimited data but have not activated them (still waiting for our cases to come in which will be Thursday). I'm excited to try them out. I have only had HTC phones so I'm hoping I can figure this all out.

My question is can you use the sharing option where you put the phone back to back with otterbox/case mate cases on?

Also I have come to like a lot of the features that the htc had to offer one being the ability to have a screen with all my favorites (people I call often) does the samsung have something like this I can use?

Is there a way that I can transfer my apps on the one phone to the other (prior to this I would just use an app backup pro and saved to my memory card then just insert into new phone. My last two phones where htc) without doing them one by one?

Thanks so much for any help,
Sami

I don't have a definitive answer for question 1 but believe I read that would work.

To place a contact shortcut on a screen long press the screen/open applications/tap widgits/tap the phone or text widgit/contacts will open/tap the desired contact.

GS3 apps are stored in internal memory not the SD card so you'll have to reinstall through Play Store.

Your right I forgot what happens it loads the apps on the phone I then just have to install them. The nice thing is I don't have to go looking for them. Thanks for you answer to my question. Is there a chance that some of the apps that I had for the htc not work on the s3?

Just make sure you are not thinking of HTC Sense style widgets/apps. Those will not be available on the new SGS3. I think you will find most if not all Sense style items supported in some form on Touch Wiz. If not there are applications in the Play Store that mimic these options well.

As far as NFC, S-Beam and Android Beam with Wifi Direct these should all work with cases installed.

This is called near field comm and although the signal is meant for very short distances it will work through your case.
