Help Some recent update KILLIN my battery

Something I updated last week started puting in some ot on my battery. I think its either Facebook with live chat or maybe Google Maps. A coworker having same issue. We are not the only ones?

I have the new google maps and It doesnt seem to be affecting my battery. It might be facebook (I don't have it so I wouldnt know)

I am experiencing it too and it is draining the battery even with Juice Defender in place. Like you, I applied both the Facebook and Maps 5.0 updates. You are not alone -- perhaps like Kenny suggests it is the Facebook update.

No Facebook and no battery issues here. (I do have Gmaps5 installed and have been using it a bunch.)

Make sure you update your Facebook settings to not fetch notifications every 15 minutes. That could be a battery hog.

My Verizon app update was killing mine had to uninstall the update

Wow! Thank you for bringing this up I just switched to launcher pro right after installing the facebook update and thought something was malfunctioning with launcher pro. But facebook is killing the battery big time!

Also note that if you sign into Facebook chat it stays active even if you back out of the app. You need to click the menu button while in chat and logout from there.

My guess would be the new FB pushing notifications or something
