some sort of database application to create dictionary

I am a medicine student, and I am looking for an application that will allow me to create some sort of a dictionary for my latin lessons.

What I want this application to do is to have the word in 1 column, and its meaning on another column.

Also I want it to be able to search for words fast (for example if I am pressing a, it will go to the first word with a, then ab, it will go to the first word with ab ect ect)

An excel file?

Actually there is already a Medical Terminology and Abbreviations app the Android Market, as well as Medical Dictionary apps though, why don't you check them out?

I'm a med student myself and I find them adequate enough for my needs at the moment.

I explained it pretty badly.

I want something like phone book, you press a for example, get words in a ect.

I tried the premade ones, they are not the answer for my problem

Memento is a simple to set up database that works well. You will see the key word and you can touch to open other other info.
