Some widget/app icons lost their picture

Search and did not find anything like this. Newbie post.
For no apparent reason, some widget/app icons on home screens lost their picture and just show a generic "android" icon.

I guess I could drag new ones from apps area, but kind of a hassle for 15 apps.

Thanks in advance

I had this problem when my phone was updated to 2.3.3 and I moved apps to the SD card. I am back to using a 2.1 phone.

That icon appears when the icons are loading. If they don't turn back after a few seconds, you're going to have to replace them manually. This has happened to me once in Go Launcher, so it may be a launcher issue.

That happens to me in GO Launcher (less so lately). I always back up GO, and just restore. Icons always come back.

Some widgets/shortcuts won't load correctly if you have moved the app to the SD card.

Now that you mention this, that is about the time I noticed after I used the the appstoSD.
Any workaround, short of moving them back to the phone? Is this normal behavior af apps moved the the SD?

TIA

That is normal. Most apps with widgets have to stay on internal (unless you're rooted and use Link2SD). Most developers warn you of this on the app description.
