Someone explain, how the Republican party is still alive...

Nice graphs! Please explain why the separation in the top graph around 1980? This is around the same time the auto industry implemented catalytic converters to protect the environment. My guess is it coincides with the industrial development in China. I am sure they are concerned with the environment . I also think natural events like wildfires in the US releasing carbon (and there have been several in recent years) as well as other events around the world.

I am just stating my opinion, right or wrong, I never claimed to know it all. Something else is at work, I don't know what it is, but blaming us (humans) can make guys like Al Gore tons of money and money is the root of all evil. My qualifications are I just a regular guy with two eye's and believe what I see, not what I hear or read from the media.
With all due respect, your two eyes have to see all the pollution we are spewing into the atmosphere, and you really think it has no effect? Sorry to mix metaphors, but that just doesn't pass the smell test for me.

Nice graphs!
No bother. Graphs are pretty fun!

Well basically, there was never a big correlation with regards to the effect of solar activity. Increases in emissions have resulted in more CO2 in our atmosphere, thus more warming.

A bit after the Eighties I guess, but yeah. What's the relevance here?

But don't you see, you know that carbon dioxide is causing the Greenhouse effect! You recognise this. I'm sure you know that there has been a big increase in its levels in the atmosphere. You know humans are the ones burning! So why don't you see it? Like.. I can understand. Its not a nice thing. People are often the same when afflicted with serious illnesses.

But blaming humans costs far more money than it can earn people, that's the thing. Blaming ourselves is the hardest thing we can do. People never want to accept responsibility. If you commit a foul during a sport, or unbalance the boat while you row, you don't want that. You don't want to have caused the problem. You want it to be some other things fault.

better go check your data...... the "scientists" who spew this nonsense, themselves, issued current data last month that shows there has been no measurable increase in temperatures in the past 16 years...... this was a change from the previous 16 years with slight increases.... and that was a change from the previous 40 years with decreases...... and in the past 130 years there has been less than 1

Sorry, I am just seeing evidence of that particular separation between solar activity and temperature. All other evidence I have seen did not show this. What I have seen was the same movement between temp and solar activity.

The reason I mentioned Catalytic Converters was I thought they were implemented to "scrub" vehicle emissions and decrease pollution the same reason leaded gasoline was tossed to the curb.

I watch all kinds of science/educational shows on the Science Channel etc. and I have yet to see the information described in the first graph. Maybe I am watching the wrong shows .

I don't think you understand what catalytic converters do then! Not that I would expect anyone to, but it'd be covered in any semi-deep chemistry course. Basically, a catalytic converter converts toxic chemicals into ones which are harmless for living beings (like CO2). I believe that it also reduces acid rain, due to less of these dangerous chemicals entering the air. As for leaded petrol, basically Tetra-ethyl lead was added to petrol (gasoline) to reduce knocking and increase the octane number of the fuel (basically make it ignite when it is supposed to, not when it is compressed). Unfortunately, lead is highly toxic to human health. Doubt it has any effect on the climate but what would I know.

I dont have the Science channel, but I'm sure its a grand source of info. Always good to broaden ones horizons I guess.
