My battery life has been horrible today. Thoughts?

Photo 3 - you have an app (or apps) that are holding the phone awake constantly. Do you have any apps that you have added lately? Are you listening to music all day (that will hold the phone awake)? Any new screen widgets?

Unfortunately, KitKat has restrictions that prevent apps like GSAM from determining what exactly is holding the phone awake. Still, an app like that may be able to tell you which apps are using the most battery.

(Sometimes restarting helps with this.)

Oh, one other thing to try: hit the multitasking button and swipe close every app that shows up.
 
Oh, and the screen is the biggest draw, despite being on rarely. Try automatic brightness, or at least set the brightness down?
 
The screen is but that app called Google play services is a battery killer . slurps up energy just like kids slurping down Rita water ice . yummy . now did you do a battery stats wipe . wipe the stats and do the charge kill .
 
I finally caved and did a FDR tonight to try and solve my "always awake" problem. Should I wipe battery stays while I'm at it?
 
That date on the article is vicious . oh I wipe the stats cause if you don't the file that it makes on the phone will drag u down and cause some problems . I feel that if you have clean stats it will fix charge counts .

Now if you seen the URL I posted can you answer why are you doing a factory data reset . I think wiping the phone would also mean your wiping the BATTERY STATS. And the same for battery calibration .
 
Now see the FDR a clean slate and also clean battery stats .the cleaning works and always have . any other problems feel free to ask for help always here to help and if I am not helping I am learning I don't know everything:eek::D
 
Rooted? Use better battery stats.

If not. Reboot your phone every few days. Makes a difference. Really helped my razr maxx hd.
