Apps Something real simple but how?

That is, could an app just pointing to a URL upon launch? If so, how?
One may ask why, because the URL is too long and tiny URL is not easy to remember... Obviously I'm a newbie to android dev.

I don't quite understand. Do you mean when the app is launched, you want the URL to open in a browser?

Try this:

[HIGH]String url = "http://www.google.com";
Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW);
i.setData(Uri.parse(url));
startActivity(i);[/HIGH]

This will open an external browser...
