"Something in the Air" - Thunderclap Newman


I love the piano solo in Andy "Thunderclap: Newman this song. He has heavy hands, puts dissonant notes in the middle of block chords, and then almost as a musical joke puts a little boogie-woogie riff on his left hand near the end. Irreverent, playful and delightful when you know the inside joke.

I wish I had your ear for this stuff like you seem to. I have a huge appreciation for many types of music but absolutely no musical ability and am pretty much tone deaf

It's my job and my passion. When you do it for a living, you are immersed in it 24/7. I'm sure there are things you do that I wish I could do ;)
