"Mustang Sally" - Sir Mack Rice

Significa (there is no trivia in music to a musician) :)

Mack Rice wrote this song while he was fronting the band for Della Reese. She wanted one of those new 1965 Mustang cars at the time. Well, Mustang Della just didn't sound good, so he asked his friend, Aretha Franklin for help, and she suggested Mustang Sally.

It has since been recorded by many. The most popular version probably by Wilson Pickett. The Rascals 'discovered' it and recorded it at Atlantic first, but the management decided to release Pickett's version before The Rascals' version which of course upset the Rascals. At least that's how I heard the story.

Me? I like both versions, but I actually like the Rascals version a bit better. But to be fair, I think Pickett did Midnight Hour a little better than The Rascals. But that's just my own personal taste coming through.
