songs keep deleting themselves from playlists, why?

every time I add songs to a playlist, then carry on using my phone, if the phone gets turned off then back on the songs have dissapeared from the playlist and I have to re-add them all again, why does this happen? does anybody know why or how I can resolve this issue

My galaxy tab 7 plus sometimes does this. I sometimes see a brief message that the media is being scanned after reboot. In my case, the music will usually show up after about 5 minutes. I've just attributed it to a quirk of Android.

but even after the phone has been on for many hours the music will still not appear, I've used many apps and they do the exact same

Where do you save the music? If on SD card, is it possible that the SD card is going bad and I would suggest testing a different SD card. Otherwise, you should probably go to the Optimus 4X forum, if there is one, to see what other owners are experiencing.
