Guy's,
I have GOT to post on what just happened to me!
My daughters Xplay keeps cycling between the Sony screen and the At&T screen. (AT&T is provider) I bought her the Xplay for Christmas, and it started doing this in March/April time frame. We received a replacement, which was a refurb. The refurb is now doing the same thing. We contacted AT&T and asked for another replacement, but preferably another phone that would be an upgrade. No dice. Refurb replacement only. I asked AT&T to put me in touch with Sony on this issue. They setup the conference call with their representative Camila and I asked Sony for a replacement/upgrade. She explained their warrenty only covered replacement. I asked if they are doing anything to to fix the issue above, and she started stating the warranty again and said I could take the phone to a Sony technician but that would have meant not getting a replacement from AT&T. When I stated this fact, and asked for a solution, as I am tired of replacing this phone, she hung up. Neither of us was shouting, and I was not being overly aggressive, but this kind of customer service tells me a lot about the company. I will not be purchasing ANYTHING else from this company. WOW!
By the way, you guys might want to check your warranty. Sony only warrants the phone from the original purchase date, no matter how many replacements you get. WOW!
