I really am proud of my phone. A lot of folks are on the internet complaining about it because Sony Ericsson sold it, and refuse to support it.
I understand their plight, it'd be nice if SE wasn't representative of big greedy corporate world of stuffed shirts. SE planted their feet and decided you're gonna drop another wad of $$$ for the next model if you want Android 2.2
I gained root access using flashtool from xdadevelopers and use Wolfbreak's CyanogenMod 6.1.3 v4.5.7
I am pleased to report this is my daily use rom, I have used it without fail since it was out a week ago. Everything works including the camcorder. And yeah I intalled Adobe Flashplayer 10.2 to the SD card with all the other apps and my x10 goes ZOOM! 380 mb of on board free memory, even after learning I still couldn't move google maps to SD card cuz it's a system thing...
Still can't get that crazy data2sd to work, it bricks it and have to SEUS it.
I understand it's no use to try it until I get a higher end SD card that has a faster "read/write" cuz it moves the whole rom to the SD card leaving a full gigabyte of usable phone memory and the x10 screams according to Lightyear0420 on the Sony Ericsson support forums.
There. A full introduction. Nice to meet you.
I can surf the net and not crash! I can take a picture and email it to my wife, and take a phonecall in the meanwhile, and use it more than ever cuz the battery lasts longer now!
No more "timescape" and stuff. No more anything battery eating I am amazed the difference!
Having complete control over the device after root access I got it set up real nice. I use "My Backup Pro" because when I flash a new rom it wipes the phone. I get to log in with Gmail and fire up the Android market, download "mybackuppro" from my downloads button and install it again, then restore from the SD card. Works great. I also used the option and have another backup stored at google on line in case I fry the SD.
That's another thing. Any kind of chip like that, be it for a camera or a phone, they come in all brands, shapes, and sizes? They are a very solid way of safekeeping valuable data. I can personally testify those kind of flash/SD/microchip type cards are wash machine AND dryer proof. Three times on the one I have LOL!
And if you ever drop your phone in the water, just get it submerged in a lot of dry uncooked rice, and leave it for overnight....
