Help sony experia Z1 error 2003 update etc

i have a sony experia Z1 phone unlocked witch i purchased in good faith from ebay but the phone would not update from jellybean 4.2.2 to kitkat 4.4.4 i have tried to contact the seller but they have closed there
account so i have now way or getting a refund

hence i am stuck with it i tried updating the phone from the Sony PC Companion but i kept getting this message

problem the phone / tablet contains modified software that cannot be updated
details sony update engine failure (error 2003)

after speaking to sony and explaning the problem with the phone and that the phone has no warrenty they said they could not do any service repair in or out of warrenty as the phone has been modified

so i had no option but to use the sony EMMA tool witch did updated the phone from jellybean 4.2.2 to kitkat 4.4.2 but now after reading the sony forms site the phone is having the same problems as other users

ie the front camera screen is taking pics up side down plus the the screen rotation on camera , phone , google etc does no longer work i have tried the android app store for camera rotation apps with no luck

i think the the problem is that the bootloader has been unlocked and i need to relock it so i can update the phone i have no idea adout mobile phones and i would really appreciate some help

after updating some apps from the android app store the camera and screen rotation is now working ? strange as it not a software update

i just need to relock this bootloader please can someone help me

update i still have the z1 phone i have checked the phone with root checker pro and i is saying the phone is not rooted
now according to another site the 2003 error is due to 1 of 3 things

the following reasons can be for the above error 2003

1 you have unlocked the bootloader
2 you are using a custom rom and the has rooted your phone
3 the phone is going into cwm recovery mode after shutdown and restarting

to get rid of the error and install the latest version of software in your sony experia mobile, you have to unroot the mobile and relock the bootloader.

now if i reset the phone the camera and screen rotation does not work full stop if i dial *#*#7378423#*#*
then go into service tests

compass does not work
yaw:0=north 90=east 180=south

accelerometer does not work

gyroscope does not work

now if i connect the phone to the pc and then the Sony PC Companion 2.1 under tab support zone a
phone / tablet software update it says you allready have the latest software well i allready no this as i flashed it from the eda forms with the latest kitkat ie 4.4.4 build 3.4.0-perf-gaee6e5a build user @ buildhost #1 thu oct 909:14:33 2014 build number 14.4.A.).157 no i also have another z1 phone and i checked the info on that phone and it is indeed the same

so moving on when i use the tab repair my phone / tablet i get the page saying estimated update 30 min etc

1. start yes working
2. prepare disconect your sony experia z1 (c6903 ) now software working continue etc yes working
3. update sony update engine failed ( error 2003 )

so now when i switch the phone back on the sreen rotation and camera are all working again ???? if i dial *#*#7378423#*#* then go into service tests

compass still does not work
yaw:0=north 90=east 180=south

accelerometer is now t working ????

gyroscope is now t working ????

so i am totally lost as what to do next is there any software that might put to what the issue is
any ideas would be much appreciated
