Help SONY logo, then a triangle with an exclamation mark

Unfortunately the phone isn't recognised by windows or by flashtool. I've tried the repair option in pc companion and again the phone isn't seen.
 
try powering on holding the volume down.
Should bring you to HBOOT.
Should be an option that says something like factory Reset.

I know sometimes ( On my Desire ) when flashing a ROM you needed to wipe data because the old data would be incompatible. Which in this cause would be true, seeing as you have gone from Gingerbread to ICS.

Not saying it will fix it, but it might.
 
I think i've found part of the problem. I didn't know the Experia Arc S and Experia S were 2 different phones.

I've upgraded to the wrong version. doh.

I have an Experia Arc S LT18i. The Experia S is LT26i.

This still doesn't explain why I can't access the HBOOT menu.

I don't know what you can do about the not being able to access HBOOT.
I hope you ain't bricked it.

Have you tried using seus or wotan server to repair it ?
