Help Sony Ray Hotspot keeps dropping out

I recently updated my Ray to ice cream and I have now noticed when the hot spot is on and connected to my laptop it constantly drops out. I may last for a few minutes then the laptop has to reconnect. Very frustrating and it happens on both my Dell laptops (win xp and win 7) and my Asus(win 7).

Any suggestions to why this may be happening?

Do you notice any drop in the WiFi bars on the phone when this happens?

Phone has full signal strength when this happens.

I don't so much mean network reception, more WiFi signal strength. Does this drop at all?
