Help Sony Xperia S 3G

I got a Sony Xperia S from the middle east as a gift and it works fine with the fido network except the 3G. Is there any way i can get this working? Thank you
 
Im not sure what that is but i went to Mobile Network Settings and i chose Fido 3G. I went to the fido booth at the mall and asked the girl and she said because the phone is not from their company it will not work but then i thought a lot of people buy apple iphone right from apple and they work fine and my phone is unlocked as it is not from any specific company......
 
Network settings are apn settings, apn being access point name I think.
Try going to your networks website and look for settings.
