Sony Xperia S android stop working?

Hi

My Xperia S has weirdly just working the phone is on but any app i press on it comes up with a message that its not working? im unable to do anything on the phone including a reset of the settings the browser sms phone calls even when i connect it to my laptop it can see the external memory ok but when trying to access the files its asif there is nothing there

any help would be gladly welcomed
