Help Sony Xperia Z Dead :(

Hey all I was just using my Xperia Z playing some real racing 3 and was running at around 15% battery life when it just died on me and just won't turn on at all I've charged it for about 20 Minutes now and all I can get it to do is show a blinking red LED when I press the power button. it's happened to me before but I didn't think anything of it and luckily it turned back on. but this time it's completely dead and can't do anything with it. I've read a few articles on the problem and it seems to be the same thing i'm experiencing at the moment. It's basically hard-bricked even though I wasn't rooted or running a custom ROM. Damn just as Sony were about to release a fix :(

Any advice?
I've tried doing power button volume up and volume down but to no avail.

Here is the article I read: Sony Xperia Z Smartphone Suffers ?Sudden Death? Issue - International Business Times

Apparently there is an update on the way "build 10.1.A.1.434" which deals with this issue.

It is not distributed via OTA but through PC Companion and an USB cable.

I do not know what happens if you connect your "dead" phone to a PC and start PC Companion. Perhaps you could give it a try?

Many thanks for the reply
I haven't tried that yet. But Debating whether I should just return it.

FWIW, I received the update OTA. I have a Vodafone version of the Xperia Z being used here in the Philippines. Model is C6603.
