Sorry2BLate : send automatic messages when you're late !!

version 0.7.2 released : Fix problem when "back on schedule" enabled and "send for each checkpoint" disabled.
The problem was catch up message was disabled after being late (and later checkpoints status where not updated).
 
I've been quite busy this time (work, family, stunt kite competition) and not had time to work on the project .

But a new version will come soon and is in test now.
Updates for this version :
- bugfixes
- getting address (street, town ...) of each checkpoint
- internal update for next versions and futur features
- white or black themes in settings, more themes available later
- Google Calendar import

P.S : someone leave a comment that application crashes on G1 phones, so if you have one, please test and report bugs so i could fix them.
 
Version 0.7.3 released :

See last post for updates.
Another bug fixed on HTC DesireHD when sending message to contact with 'p' or 'w' letters in them. Maybe fixed also on other phones.

Next releases :
more themes, ui design, send message when arriving at checkpoints, send current location (approximative) address (useful for people not having smartphone or data connection) ...

Just to say i think you're doing a fantastic job ! this is app is AMAZING. keep up the good work. So far everythings working on my HTC Wildfire!

Thanks, feel free to comment, suggest new features, report any bugs.

Focus is on widget now and more simple UI with step by step screen to add late alarm (will continue with current screen on expert mode) and other screens for schedule alarm.
 
Next version in test now, update coming before end of week if no problem.

In the next update :

  • bugfixes
  • import several calendar event at once
  • adding time before alert for time based alarm from calendar events
  • confirm sending message and notification when "back to schedule"
  • Wake up phone when idle to confirm message sending
  • New application settings to not send message just be notified when late or back to schedule (test mode before spamming your recipients)
  • Widget for alarm based on geolocation (late alarm)

Widget displaying also scheduled alarm
Sending message when arriving in checkpoints (when you're late or not)
Much easier screen to create alarm with step by step instructions displaying 1 or maximum 2 features on one screen (current screen will be available in expert mode).

A few explanations:

List active geolocation based alarm (late alarm).
A click on alarm's title open main application, click on next button to cycle through alarm.
Round bitmaps under alarm's title are checkpoints (control point defined on maps). There are green when not late, red when late, no color when undefined.
Maximum number of bitmap is 10 so only the 10 firsts are displayed.
Battery should not suffered from widget, refresh time is set to 5 hours and each time the status of a checkpoint changes (the last alarm displayed will be the alarm with last checkpoint updated).
 
Minor update available :
- Scheduled Alarms now appearing in Widget
- Scheduled Alarms are now send at specific time and not 15 seconds earlier.
 
New version 0.7.6 available :
- bug fix on "Map" tab with click on "Next point" after checkpoints deletion (when already navigating with "next point" option before).
- Widget design updates (transparency + border)
- Notification icons for all screen size (much better on high screen density now).
 
Force Close on Android 1.6 when opening application, Bug fixed but cannot update application now, will do it as soon as i can (tonight at home Paris french time).
 
New Version available

- New UI for scheduled alarm
- New options : time to get current location (in seconds), minimum precision to send messages
- Underground work for next major release (check-in, new design for late alarm, service to activate alarms and refresh widget)
 
New version (0.7.8.3) available :
fix force close and display alert on alarm activation when no geolocation provider available (no wifi/cell tower or GPS enabled in phone settings / Location and security).
