Sound Alert Issue

I keep hearing this ring sound for no apparent reason and I would like to disable it as it seems to serve no purpose.

I sounds like a teaspoon tapping on a champagne glass. Just one tap. Ding!

I've looked to disable it under settings, but don't see it anywhere. I've opened the phone as a device on my computer to look for the sound file and I don't see it anywhere.

I can't figure out what the sounds alert is for such as it's not related to getting a message, call, email etc.

It rings in the middle of the night and is annoying. Any ideas?

I will see if i can possibly assist you with the issue you are having today

This sound, have you tried disabling your sounds entirely to see if it still makes a noise?

Have you checked the default email app, to see if you still have notifications running on it?, or maybe you have roaming checked in data and when it enters roaming mode it dings?

Regardless, if you could tell me your make/model of your device and what version of android it is running i can get a better idea and not make stabs at it
