Help Sound cuts out when using headphones

If I use headphones at a loud volume, the audio cuts out as if there were a short in the headphone wires. After a few seconds of this, the headphones will disconnect completely from the phone and I have to plug them back in. This happens with every pair of headphones and doesn't happen on other devices. Is there a fix?

It sounds like the audio may be clipping. That is, the volume is to high for your devices audio output amps to push and they are turning off.

If you need the sound to be that loud, then you may have to resort to an external amplifier. And/or consult your physician about hearing loss issues.

Yea that's what I was thinking. Also I thought that zte designed it that way to protect users from excessively loud music
