Help sound issue

Newbie
The sound on my touchpad stops working after it goes into sleeepmode. I have done a full wipe several times and flashed cm9 and classicnerd butta and neither one works. webos works fine though. Any ideas why it's not working?

My understanding is the fix was added for 5-22 and after.

You can see the fix here: Gerrit Code Review

Basically, I made sure that the vdd50_boost voltage regulator stays enabled while the audio driver is active.

Yes, both nightlies as of 5/22 have the new wifi and audio fixes.

Sorry, I don't have anything else to contribute, but you might want monitor that thread.

Who's build?

Rom Manager latest is 5/22, Eyeballer has newer ones. I think someone else also has TP builds.

I have done a complete uninstall with acmeuninstaller. And did reinstall with acmeinstaller2. Anything I could have done wrong?

That really isn't necessary (and is potentially dangerous). You could have simply formatted the usual + data + system and installed your rom.

Problems arise when you restore from your backups (Titanium Backup?). Restoring anything other than apps and app data can cause problems. If that isn't the case, then I suspect a sound-related app is causing the problem.

Are you positive of the version you flashed? (settings... about tablet)

I tried the newest official nightly (5-29) and tried the unoffical nightlies everyday since 5-22. I have also tried Classicnerd Butta and it does not work either. I just don't understand why it is doing this. Am I doing the uninstall process correct? I tried using Acmeuninstaller and I have tried just doing the data wipe and delete cache partition from Clockwork Mod.

Also when I do flash the ROM back on I never install anything until I test the sound. Once the tablet goes to sleep the sound will not work. And that is with nothing installed besides the base ROM.

Is there another Rom I should try?

Based on what you're telling me, I doubt any other rom will work.

Maybe next time try it without agreeing to backup data with Google to see if it's a setting that's being restored from them? (It's one of the first questions after activating.)
