Cant hear media but can hear notifications fine , ringtones barely

Check the volume controls. There are different ones for media, notifications and ringtones. Also check your ringtones. You can always run them through an app like Ringtone Maker and make them louder.

I know this thread is old, but I found this app to help with the various volumes:

Volume control is awkward on this phone, but this seems to help.
